It will provide late-phase STEM start-ups, SMEs, and university spinoffs with private offices, plug-and-play labs, and engineering workshops without equity dilution. PDIHQ is a public-private partnership delivering the STEM product commercialisation innovation space initiative named in the Wellington Regional Economic Development Plan, with formal letters of support from Upper Hutt City Council, WellingtonNZ, the MacDiarmid Institute, and the Wellington Regional Leadership Committee. The independent Infometrics economic impact study projects 330 full-time jobs and $181 million to NZ GDP at full capacity within five years.
We are seeking central and local government partners, institutional and private investors, corporate sponsors, and philanthropic funders. The construction partnership for the $10 million building is committed; the funding ask covers lease underwriting, fit-out, and operational support through to self-sufficiency.
